Dr. Dennis Banks

Dr Dennis Banks, MD, JD, Founder and Chairman of Maui Psychiatry is a graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School (MD) After medical school, Dr Banks received residency training at Stanford University Hospital, Palo Alto, California, The Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill University, Montreal, Canada and The McAuley Neuropsychiatric Institute in San Francisco, California.

Additionally, Dr Banks graduated from The University of New Hampshire Law School (JD) and was selected and graduated from Harvard Law School’s graduate school Visiting Scholar program. Finally Dr Banks loves horses, plays polo, and plays a little guitar and piano. In his Maui Psychiatry practice Dr Banks diagnoses, treats and manages the most challenging of psychiatric conditions. Carefully considering choice of treatment modalities, conservatively using medications, often as a last resort.
